Glenny's residential team close deal on former convent

Glenny have successfully completed the sale of The Dell on College Avenue in Grays acting for La Sainte Union Sisters (LSU). The Dell comprised of a prominent and historic Grade II Listed building and was one of the earliest known examples of a house to be built of solid concrete in the country. The Dell was owned by the famous naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace who is chiefly remembered for his association with Charles Darwin in proposing the theory of the evolution of species by natural selection. The building will now be sympathetically modified to provide five residential apartments.
