The Arch Company has appointed Glenny’s Business Space Agency team to market a portfolio of 114 arch units to let in London, which together total 145,000 sq ft with a rent roll of £2.1 million per annum.
The Arch Company is the UK’s largest small business landlord serving thousands of businesses owners across the country. Since purchasing Network Rail’s former commercial property estate in 2019, the landlord - which is owned by Telereal Trillium and Blackstone Property Partners - has amassed a property portfolio of approximately 5,200 railway arches, business estates, former station buildings, and more. The diverse tenant community includes car mechanics, bakeries, restaurants, fitness studios, social enterprises, charitable organisations, and others, who make a unique and vital contribution to the UK economy
Ranging from 500 - 3,000 sq ft, the railway arches being marketed by Glenny are located in the East London area and benefit from open warehouse space, roller shutter doors, and water and electricity supply.
Nowsher Alam, Graduate Surveyor at Glenny, said: “In a market where developers generally concentrate on larger scale warehouse development, The Arch Company is providing a key industrial asset for small business owners who benefit from the strong community and prime city location these arches so often provide.”
Greg Giessen, Lettings Manager at The Arch Company, adds: “Our arches are home to some of London’s most thriving small to medium businesses, accommodating a wide range of occupiers who together make up the fabric of our community. We’re pleased to be working with the team at Glenny who have the local market knowledge and expertise to help us to market and let our unique and diverse portfolio.”
