Last Month, employees from Team Glenny got on their bikes, laced up their trainers and donned their goggles for the annual JLL Property Triathlon at the Dorney Lakes in Eton.
This year was the Property Triathlon’s 15th year, in which time it has raised more than £2 million in total for various charities. The triathlon is a way to bring people from across the property sector together to meet with old friends and colleagues, and make new connections in a fun and relaxed environment. This year’s event, which also includes a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon and a 2.2K swim, was raising money for WWF.
Donned in the Glenny red and black tri-suits, and led by Paul Aylott from our Valuation and Lease Advisory team, Team Glenny comprised of Sam Bensusan, Joshua Siddon, Sam Coker, Chris Mottram, Andy Cooke, Caroline Smith, and Michael Mekonen.
Despite the rapidly changing weather, all three Glenny teams completed the triathlon in good time, and were able to collect their medals and enjoy an obligatory alcohol-free beer to replace those electrolytes upon completion of the race.
Paul Aylott said: “It was great to see colleagues from across the business come together once again for a great day out at the JLL Property Triathlon. Despite a few creaking knees, we were delighted to get involved and help raise money for a great cause. Thanks to everyone for all their training and commitment - we’re looking forward to next summer.”
In total, around £180,000 was raised at the 2022 event. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and to JLL for another fantastic event. Training has already commenced at Glenny HQ for the 2023 event.
