Supply increased significantly in the latter part of last year and early part of 2024, rising to 1.4m sq ft, the highest level since 2015. The main addition to stock has been the decision by Hertfordshire County Council to vacate their offices at Pegs Lane in Hertford, releasing 200,000 sq ft onto the market. The council has taken the decision to relocate most of its functions to offices in Stevenage, retaining only a small presence at the Couty Hall building.
