Our View

Take up in the Essex region has reached 1.6m sq ft for the first three quarters of 2024 and is the only region in the Eastern M25 to record above trend levels of activity.  Lettings have been boosted by a strong year in the Big Box market, with four deals totalling 852,207sq ft accounting for 55% of overall take up.  The largest letting remains the 410,000 sq ft letting to Zeigler at London Gateway in the first quarter of the year.

The other major Big Box deals have been the 186,400 sq ft short term let of LG186 London Gateway to a logistics subsidiary of DP World, with a further 129,495 sq ft pre let at AP129 Arterial Park in Rayleigh to a confidential occupier.  The final deal, which also completed in Q1 2024 was the 126,300 sq ft letting to OM Log at London Brentwood Commercial Park, Brentwood.
